Biography
John was appointed as a Lecturer in Economic and Social Statistics at The University of Dundee in 1969 and retired in 2012. During that time he held visiting fellowships at The University of Queensland and Kansas State University. He served as Chairman of the British & Irish section of the Regional Science Association International, served on the International Board of the RSAI and acted as European Editor of Papers in Regional Science.
