Elaine Leong

Over a career in UK Higher Education spanning over 30 years, Elaine has extensive experience in all areas of HE management and administration. Prior to her role as Internationalisation Lead in the School of Business, Elaine was School Secretary of the School of Business for 8 years (2008-2015). During this time, the School of Business was formed and the seeds of internationalisation were sown.



Elaine obtained her first degree from the National University of Singapore majoring in Sociology and Political Science and has a Postgraduate Diploma in Personnel Management from the Singapore Institute of Management. She obtained an MBA from the University of Dundee in 2002 and has attended many professional development training programmes.



In her current role, she supports the Associate Dean, Internationalisation and Admissions in implementing the School’s Internationalisation Strategy and recruitment of International Students. Elaine had played a key role in the conversion process and leads in enhancing the extra-curricular experience of students and international mobility. Elaine has engaged with recruitment and alumni activities in China, India, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Middle East and South Africa.
