David Canning

David is the Head of Knowledge & Information Management in The Cabinet Office and is an accredited member of the Information and Records Management Society. His work has included transforming information management compliance through culture change, developing the automation of digital disposal and creating end to end digital information lifecycle management from creation to archiving.  

David joined the information and records management profession in 2015, but has been in the Civil Service for over thirty years. Notable past projects include creating the system of individual electoral registration in the UK, standardising the addressing data used by local authorities, and creating the public register of court judgements, orders and fines.
