CA32003

This is the companion module to CA31003. You will continue your investigation of the human body but in this module, you will study the pelvis, perineum, lower limb, head and neck. On-line material is used as a basis for 3 hour in-person practical dissection classes which occur three times each week. Thiel cadavers are used as in semester one. This helps to promote the enhancement of transferable skills of visual memory, teamwork and dissection/ manual dexterity.

On completion of this module, you should be able to:

  • Identify all significant components and features of the cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, lymphatic, endocrine, nervous and musculoskeletal systems encountered during dissection of the pelvis, perineum, lower limb and head and neck.
  • Safely use all common dissection instruments
  • Have developed learning strategies to begin to become an independent learner
