Fees and scholarships for International College Dundee

As part of the University of Dundee Scholarship offerings, ICD students may be considered for a Vice Chancellors Scholarship, Global Citizenship Scholarship (GCS) or an ICD Progressing with Excellence Scholarship (PWES). These scholarships are open to both IIB and IIM students and are awarded for the University of Dundee period of study. Other Scholarships may be available for the ICD period of study, and you should contact your OIEG regional representative for full details of these.

Scholarship Offering for Students Starting their Studies at ICD in 22/32

ICD Progressing with Excellence Scholarships (PWES)

Students studying at ICD will be assessed for this scholarship based on their academic performance while studying within the College. Upon successful completion of study at ICD students will be assessed, and if they meet the scholarship criteria, they will be awarded the International College Dundee Progressing with Excellence Scholarship.

Award: Up to £6000 per year of study

Al Maktoum Living Support Scholarship

This scholarship is available to students of MSc Islamic Finance only. This Scholarship award is automatic as long as the student meets the following criteria:

  • firmly accept their offer for the Postgraduate MSc Islamic Finance programme
  • have International Fee Status
  • achieved a Progressing with Excellence £5000 Scholarship Award from the University

Award: £5,000 on progression

The PWES and CCS Awards cannot be combined, students will only be eligible for one.

Global Citizenship Scholarship (GCS)

Our Global Citizenship Scholarships recognise applicants who demonstrate strong alignment with the University of Dundee's values of valuing people; working together; integrity; making a difference and excellence. 

To be considered for a scholarship, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Have an offer to study a full-time International College Dundee course:
  • Commencing studies at ICD in September 2022, January 2023, April 2023 or June 2023
  • Have International fee status as determined by the University of Dundee. 

If awarded, the scholarship will apply a tuition fee discount up to the value of £5000 to each year of study at the University of Dundee (maximum 5 years for undergraduate; maximum 2 years for postgraduate) once the applicant has successfully completed their programme at the International College Dundee AND progressed to their chosen University of Dundee continuation degree.

Vice Chancellor's Scholarships - Africa, South Asia and EU (non-UK)

The University of Dundee is offering scholarships of £5,000 per year of study - up to a maximum value of £25,000 to applicants living in Africa, South Asia, and Europe (non-UK). 

To be eligible for an award, you must meet all the following criteria:

  • Have an offer to study:
    1. A full time, Undergraduate course excluding any courses in the School of Medicine or the School of Dentistry OR
    2. A full time, 180 credit postgraduate taught course over the course of 1 year. If you are studying a 2-year full time postgraduate taught course, you may be eligible for the award in both years. 
  • Be domiciled in an African, South Asia or the EU (not UK) country (please see the Key Facts document on the relevant Vice Chancellors scholarship pages linked below for a full list of eligible countries)
  • Have International fee status as determined by the University of Dundee.
