Immigration compliance for staff and right to work checks

Right to work
As a Scottish institution operating on a global stage, the University is proud to promote the diversity of our workforce, with staff from more than 55 nationalities.
Please note that prior to joining, all prospective employees need to demonstrate their right to work in the UK. This applies to any individual who will be undertaking work for the University regardless of duration and contractual status. Our right to work procedure provides guidance on right to work checks.
If you do not currently have the right to work within the UK, there may be opportunities for the University of Dundee to sponsor you under the Skilled Worker route or provide you with information on other employment visa routes which may suit your circumstances. Guidance is available for international applicants and applying for a Skilled worker visa.
Changes to the UK Immigration System - eVisas
The Home Office is replacing physical immigration documents with a digital proof of immigration status called an eVisa. As part of the move to eVisas, anyone who uses a physical immigration document and who does not already have a UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) account will need to take action and create an account at www.gov.uk/evisa.
Further information can be found on the Changes to the UK Immigration System - eVisas SharePoint page.
