Visitors to City Campus

If you have been invited by a member of staff for a business meeting, guest lecture, or other official business you can apply for a visitor permit to park on City Campus during office hours.

Visitor permits are valid from 08:00-00:00 Monday-Friday and cost £5 per day. You will need a RingGo account to use this service.

Requesting a visitor permit

Ask your host School / Directorate for a visitor permit. You will receive an email with details on how to apply for a permit and a special visitor location code.

Parking with a visitor permit

Once you find an available space on City Campus, you should pay the parking charge using RingGo.

You need to use the visitor location code supplied, not the standard location code. This will not appear using the "near me" function.

A visitor permit does not guarantee an available space. You should not pay for parking until you have successfully parked.

Alternative parking is available on the surrounding streets, and public car parks near the campus. See Dundee City Council car parking web pages for full details including time limits and charges.

Visitor Permits are not available for the general public, staff, and students. Unauthorised use of the visitor location code without a valid visitor permit will result in a Parking Charge Notice being issued.

Contractor parking

Contractors who require access to park on city campus may be eligible for free parking for the duration of their attendance subject to their contract terms and conditions. Contractors must be registered with a valid entry on the Contractor Tracker to qualify for free parking. Permits are available from the Ewing Building when Contractors register their attendance on campus.

General public

Members of the public are not allowed to park on campus between the hours of 08:00 and 17:30 Monday to Friday.

Outwith these times, they can park on city campus by paying an appropriate fee via the RingGo app. Fees for non-permit holders are applicable Monday to Friday from 17:30 to 00:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 08:00 to 00:00.
