My work is deeply informed through specific research that's personal to each piece. All my work is very process lead.
About
My first project that's displayed is a drink brand I created from scratch from the town of Glastonbury called 'Free the Spirit. Free the Spirit is an alcohol free gin alternative thats infused with CBD to give the same relaxing effect as an alcoholic drink without the negative effects. It's deeply inspired and connected to the town at all levels from the ingredients to the design. The design is inspired equally by the occult heritage of the town as well as the widely known 'free spirited' hippie culture that's been a huge part of Glastonbury though the ages.
The second project displayed is my response to the ISTD 'The Spaces Between' brief. It focuses on the loss of community in the modern day and looks into how social media has made us less inclined to connect with others In person. The loss of community is a very topical point of todays society and is something that I felt deserved to have attention drawn to it. The design of my publication is very minimal in parts to express the isolation and melancholy of not having a sense of community where you live. The pages are cut at on angle so that once open the shape of a house is formed. I have created the publication so that some pages aren't cut and act as barriers between the homes to further communicate my narrative.

Selected spreads from ISTD - Longing for Belonging
Above are some selected spreads from my ISTD project. For the project I focused on the loss of community in modern day society which is an undeniable point of life today that has significant implications for individuals and society as a whole. I aimed to make my spreads feel minimal and disconnected to communicate my narrative further. Within my publication I've drawn upon my own experiences with community and aimed to provoke thoughts about the topic.
