My first major project was to create an alcoholic drink brand rooted somewhere. I based my brand in Glasgow, where I'm from, and specifically focused on the Glasgow Subway. The brand is named after the first operating system of the Subway, the labels and bottles are inspired by the shapes of the tunnels and the carrier resembles a Subway carriage. The brand aims to connect people, like the subway connects you to different parts of the city, so, take the mini, infused vodkas to your next social occasion and split the pack with friends. Also inspired by Glasgow, are the infusions, made with traditional Scottish sweet shop favourites, as the city is home to some of the oldest sweet shops in the country.

My next project is from the ISTD brief Open/Close: create a radical re-imagining of a book out of copyright. I chose Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein (1818) and re-imagined it as a (proto) feminist science fiction novel. In my re-imagining I bring to light the proto-feminist themes in the text and further explore the treatment of women in the 1800s.  A hyper-feminine aesthetic has been utilised to further play into gender stereotypes and the stereotypical narrative of what a woman is and how she should present herself. The hyper-feminine elements serve an ironic and satirical purpose.

LISTEN! Magazine is my dissertation which explores how and why album covers are still relevant in the digital age and has been designed like a music magazine, with the Gen Z market in mind.

Clutch & Cable, Infused Vodkas

A poster advertisement for my vodka brand Clutch & Cable, done as a vertical subway style advert. It features the three bottles in their carrier, and someone is holding it. The text on the poster reads; Next Stop... Clutch & Cable infused vodka from Glasgow, Scotland
