Dundee International Institute Central Southern University Progression Scholarships 2026/27 (“the Scholarship”)
This Key Facts Document sets out the main details of the Scholarship, as at date of publication. This document should be reviewed alongside the University of Dundee Scholarship and Bursary Terms and Conditions, as those terms and conditions will provide you with additional information that apply to you in respect of the Scholarship. If there is any inconsistency between this Key Facts Document and the University of Dundee Scholarship and Bursary Terms and Conditions, the provisions of the Scholarship and Bursary Terms and Conditions will prevail.
Date of publication
September 2025, applicable to 2026/7 academic year (September 2026) and (January 2027).
Application process
There is no separate application form for the Dundee International Institute Central Southern University Progression Scholarship. Your eligibility will be based on the information you provide to the University during the application process.
- The University of Dundee Admissions Team will use all information on your application to study to determine if you meet the eligibility criteria.
- This verification process will happen at the initial Offer Stage.
- You must ensure the information in your application and any supporting documentation is correct, complete, accurate and up to date as any award is based on this information. The University of Dundee reserves the right to withdraw this award if you have submitted information which is false, fraudulent, incorrect, or misleading.
- Where you do not meet the criteria for this scholarship, the University may inform you of other scholarships available.
Who is eligible?
In order to be eligible for a Dundee International Institute of Central South University Progression Scholarship, all applicants must meet the eligibility criteria noted below:
- Hold an offer to study at the University of Dundee on a PGT Science and Engineering programme
(Note the course must be studied full time, on campus.)
- Be classified as an International Fee-paying student by the University of Dundee.
The applicant must have an average of at least 16/B3 in their Y1-Y3 core modules at Dundee International Institute of Central South University
UK Equivalencies of all Academic Qualifications are at the discretion of the University of Dundee.
- Not currently studying a PhD Course.
Scholarship information
The value of this scholarship is £11,000
The Dundee International Institute of Central South University is awarded as a discount on tuition fees. This is only available to students who meet the eligibility criteria outlined above and commence study on one of the eligible programmes.
No direct payment will be made to any applicant
- The scholarship is awarded in the year of applicable study.
Key information
- This scholarship is applicable to the entry year to the University of Dundee only and cannot be backdated to previous years.
- Applicants are unable to combine the Dundee International Institute Central Southern University Progression Scholarship with:
- Any other University of Dundee scholarship.
- Any externally, partially funded scholarship. If the external scholarship is lower than the Dundee International Institute Central Southern University Progression Scholarship, then the applicant must select an applicable scholarship.
- If you have an externally funded scholarship that covers part of the full tuition fee, any applicable University of Dundee scholarships, for which you are eligible, may be awarded (provided that any University of Dundee scholarships are up to a maximum of 50% of your tuition fee total, and the total value of the awards combined does not exceed the total University of Dundee tuition fee).
- If your tuition fees are paid in full by an external sponsorship body no University of Dundee scholarships or discounts will be applicable, unless there is an agreement to this effect with the relevant sponsorship body.
- Should you wish to defer your entry to the University of Dundee, the following rules apply:
- Deferral within the same academic year: Scholarship can also be deferred.
- Deferral to a new academic year: Scholarship cannot be deferred.
- If you are required to repeat a year of study (at any point throughout the duration of your study), UoD reserves the right to remove your scholarship.
- Changes to the programme of study:
- If you change programme before/ during matriculation or after the latest start date of your programme, the University of Dundee reserves the right to re-assess eligibility for scholarships and may withdraw the Scholarship Offer should your eligibility have changed.
- If you change Fee status or any other personal information before, during or after matriculation, the University of Dundee reserves the right to reassess eligibility for scholarships and may retract the Scholarship Offer should your eligibility change.
- If you have paid your tuition fees in full prior to being awarded the Dundee International Institute of Central South University Progression Scholarship, the value of the scholarship will be refunded to you after you have enrolled at the University of Dundee. Alternatively, this can be transferred to your university accommodation account balance (if applicable).
- All communication with you will be via the online applicant portal (e-Vision). Types of communication may be:
- Confirming the scholarship;
- Informing you that you have not met the criteria to be awarded the scholarship;
- Requesting further information.
- The University of Dundee is unable to disclose details of the scholarship to anyone other than you unless you provide your consent to do so.
- Should you withdraw from your programme of study, the University of Dundee may be in contact regarding payment of fees.
- All scholarship decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
