Resources to help you with your applications to apply for creative courses

When you're preparing your application to a course, remember that different universities and courses have different requirements and deadlines for their applications and portfolios.

It is important to do your research and prepare early.

While most courses are different, the processes and general timelines are similar. They tend to look like this:

Interview (March to May)

It is around this time that some courses may invite you to an interview. If your interview is in person, you might be asked to take your physical work with you.

Get tips on preparing for your interview

It's best to start preparing early. You don't have to wait until S6.

You should take an active approach to your applications. This could include:

  • double-checking details - including deadlines and requirements
  • visiting university websites 
  • attending open days (if you can).
