Pensions
The University of Dundee has three pensions schemes which you may join, determined by your job category:

- for academic and academic-related staff
NHS Superannuation Scheme
- for academic staff previously in the NHS Scheme
Noting you can only re-join/remain in the NHS Superannuation Scheme (instead of joining USS) if you satisfy certain criteria – please contact pensionsoffice@dundee.ac.auk for more information.
Royal London Defined Contribution (DC) Pension Scheme
- for clerical, technical, and manual staff
The University also offers a salary sacrifice scheme, Pensions Plus, for pension contributions made into the Universities Superannuation Scheme or the University of Dundee Superannuation Scheme.
Additional benefits
All staff can take advantage of a range of other benefits.
For example, they can join our Institute of Sport & Exercise and use our extensive library facilities.
They can also participate in cycle to work schemes and access the government’s tax-free childcare.
Perhaps visit our Botanic Gardens near Dundee airport. You can also visit the Ninewells Community Garden, which lies in the beautiful arboretum of Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. Both are free to visit, open 7 days a week – just remember your staff card for entry into the Botanic Gardens.
