We are recruiting for an exceptional individual to join us as a Clinical Research Fellow within the Division of Cardiovascular Research. You will lead innovation in the decentralised trial space in a unique collaboration as part of the Scottish Centre for Decentralised Trials (SCOT-DCT), and study for a higher degree (MD or PhD) over a 3-year period.
The post holder will be part of the https://www.dundee.ac.uk/medicine/research/cardiovascular. We support Early Career Researchers, with active mentoring, and a range of relevant training options for scientific and academic development.

Your priorities will include:
- Drive recruitment into decentralised clinical trials.
- Develop skills in identifying patients eligible for trial recruitment.
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of decentralised clinical trials development working.
- Contribute to other clinical trial/research work as required by the supervisor.
- Manage data handling and interpretation of research results and take the lead in writing papers for publication in appropriate peer-reviewed journals.
- Accumulate a significant body of work of the standard required for submission for examination for a Higher Degree (MD or PhD).
- Keep up to date with recent literature and advances in the field.
- Present work at internal and external seminars and national/international conferences as appropriate to enhance the profile of the research group.

Who we are looking for:
- MBChB or equivalent.
- Registered with General Medical Council [GMC] and licensed to practice [or able to be registered if overseas candidate].
- MRCP UK, MRCGP or equivalent.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work constructively with staff at all levels.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Good organisational skills, including the ability to manage research projects.
- Evidence of previous research experience is desirable
