We wish to recruit an exceptional individual to continue the delivery of high-quality healthcare improvement (HCI) teaching and support to our senior graduate entry medical students.

Scottish Graduate Entry Medicine (ScotGEM) is an innovative, four-year medical degree programme. In addition to our ambition to develop doctors enthused and prepared for clinical practice in remote and rural Scotland, we aim to develop future healthcare leaders through the Agents of Change (AoC) curriculum where the Healthcare Improvement strand is an important focus.

Employed by the University of Dundee, you will join a committed and enthusiastic team of educators based in the two ScotGEM partner universities (St Andrews and Dundee) and within our partner health boards (NHS Tayside, Fife, Dumfries and Galloway and Highland)

Your priorities will include:

  • Leading HCI teaching and support for our students in their final two
  • Coordinating with colleagues who support the ScotGEM programme to ensure a holistic AoC curriculum across the four years of the ScotGEM programme.
  • Ensuring delivery, supervision and assessment methods match the innovative nature of the
  • Working in effective partnership with all stakeholders across ScotGEM
  • Contributing to the teaching and assessment of students

Who we're looking for:

You have

  • Experience of teaching Healthcare Improvement to
  • Enthusiasm for the ScotGEM rural generalist focused educational
  • Knowledge and understanding of the practicalities of combining teaching with service
  • Experience of organisational and educational change
  • An understanding of education quality assurance
