Psychology with Spanish MA (Hons)
School of Social Sciences
Improve your Spanish whilst learning how the human mind works from infancy to old age in this flexible MA degree
Dundee City Campus
Psychology is the scientific study of the mind and behaviour. Topics we cover include how babies learn, the way in which people's mental skills change as they grow older, personalities types, and social group dynamics. You will also study different psychological disorders.
You will also learn how to think critically and to solve problems. We will teach you to analyse data, write clearly and effectively, and be a confident communicator of science. You will learn how to plan, implement, and analyse your own research project.
At Levels 1 and 2 you’ll also study additional humanities or social science subjects, such as English, History, Geography, or Politics.
Our student-run Psychology Society organises social events, study skills sessions, and a range of academic and career-oriented talks.
You'll also study one Spanish module per semester in each year, either as a beginner or at intensive level if you have previously studied the language at Higher/A-Level.
“Coming from Finland, my time studying at the University of Dundee has been a great learning experience. The lecturers in the psychology department are one of the best things about the course, they are extremely helpful and interested in the well-being of their students.”
Julia Oosi, Psychology student
