Many of our graduates build careers in areas that draw directly on the specialist geographical knowledge and skills they develop through their degree. Areas of employment include:

  • land and water management
  • flood risk management
  • development and environmental consultancies
  • housing and social welfare organisations
  • local and central government
  • tourism and conservation
  • the geospatial industry, using GIS or satellite remote sensing

This course will also help you develop the wider graduate skills and attributes that many employers value: problem solving, IT and communication, analysis, and working with partners. Our students are also successful in securing places and funding for advanced postgraduate degrees.
