Anatomy body painting

Creative anatomy face and body painting sessions help medical students learn complex anatomy through teamwork, visual learning and hands-on practice

Anatomy - a vast subject that requires detailed understanding as a future medical practitioner - can often be overwhelming for the students.

To engage and inspire learning in a creative and alternative manner, Dr Luke Reid, Lecturer at the Centre of Human Anatomy and Identification (CAHID), organised a face and body anatomy painting session at the School of Medicine. The method received positive feedback from the students and encourages teamwork, as well as enabling the opportunity for practical visual learning.

Photographs of the session were taken by the TILT team. For any professional photography needs in the School of Medicine, please contact the TILT team at [email protected]
