Study anatomy with our Thiel dissection facilities and develop your artistic skills in life drawing, sculpture and illustration on our four month course.
Anatomy for Artists at Dundee
This course is a dynamic collaboration bringing together expertise from both the Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification (CAHID) and the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (DJCAD).
During this four month course you will study anatomy side by side with life drawing, sculpture and illustration. The course is aimed at artists who wish to study anatomy first hand from cadaver study as well as anatomists and other scientists who would like to enhance their knowledge through developing their artistic skills.
You will learn anatomy through dissection, prosection study, illustration and facial sculpture and apply this to life art practice. You will also be introduced to research methods and digital media.
We will provide you with dedicated studio space as well as access to Thiel dissection facilities - the first of their kind in the UK.
