I am from China. I studied MSc Professional Accountancy in University of Dundee. I chose this course because I could have nine exemptions (F1 to F9) from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). The course was very efficient and useful for my plan to finish all the ACCA exams. Each student in my class could interact with the professors and lecturers without any hindrance.

The first day when I arrived in Dundee, my first impression about Dundee was that it was a more modern city than I expected. And the University is bigger and beautiful, facing the Tay river.

I applied for the university through an institution in China and had an interview with one of the representatives of the University in Beijing. One of the main reason I chose the University of Dundee was because the MSc Professional Accountancy program can help me save time to achieve my ACCA qualification. Meanwhile, the University also has golf association which attracts me a lot to get involved with local students and get used to the culture as soon as I can.

Now I am running my golf tour operator business in Scotland, providing the most exclusive golfing experience for Mandarin speaking golfers. I used to join the activities of the centre of entrepreneurship and gained lots of support from it. My supervisor Brian McNicoll also gave me advice, guidelines and instructions on my project, which led me to launch the project very quickly. Meanwhile, Ms. Susan Scott (International Service Adviser) also provided me with specific information about applying for my entrepreneur visa (sponsored by the University).

Besides that, I also got the chance to attend the Venture Competition on campus, which was really special experience for me and I learned the way to present in such events. I'd like to recommend the University to other people in the future, because the staff are very helpful and nice. I enjoyed lots of opportunities during my experiences studying here. I also encountered students all over the world and made some international friends.
