I've loved being at the University of Dundee particularly the close working relationships I’ve developed here, I've found that the professors are really invested in their students, they always make time for you and encourage you to come to their office hours, are happy to talk through any course work you have and help you in your career as well.

Last summer I had in internship in Washington DC with the Middle East Policy Council, where I helped them in working on a video project interviewing prominent Arab Americans and highlighting their profiles and careers.

The internship helped me as it was really interesting to see internships at work, I hope in the future to go into human rights advocacy work, so to see not just the theoretical side and the more idealistic side, but also to see what needs to happen in practice if you want to get any legislation through or highlight certain areas of politics and human rights.

Once I graduate I am hoping to go into women’s empowerment with grassroots organisations through education and healthcare.

Studying Politics at the University of Dundee has really helped me both find what I am interested in in terms of my career, and helped find a way into the career opportunities I wish to continue with after graduation.
