For the next ten months, on a two-day a week basis, Dr Norin Arshed will be seconded to Parliament to generate an evidence-base for use by women entrepreneurs, economic development agencies and policymakers.
Her research will provide an in-depth understanding of the state of women-led businesses during the COVID-19 crisis and their needs in its aftermath in Scotland. The project will potentially inform two current Scottish Parliamentary Committees: Equalities and Human Rights Committee and the Economy, Energy and Fair Work Committee, and thus lead to a further impact case for the next REF exercise.
