New Industry Advisory Board to support School’s growth and future ambitions

For the first time in its history, the School of Business at the University of Dundee has formally established an Industry Advisory Board

The Board is made up of industry professionals, from a range of sectors, including financial services, manufacturing, SME’s, third sector organisations, public sector organisations and sport/tourism, and will be Chaired by Omar Pacha, who is the Manager and Head Coach at Dundee Stars.

Working with colleagues from within the School, the Board will discuss and support on a range of issues, such as graduate skills, graduate employability, degree development, academic and industry research collaboration and other key areas, all to the benefit of the students, staff and future development of the School.

An initial meeting of the Board has already taken place and the objective is for it to meet three times per year.

Dean of the School, Prof. Morris Altman said;

“I am particularly pleased at securing support from such a wide range of individuals, from a wide spread of sectors, levels of seniority within organisations and career backgrounds. As well as welcoming a number of key individuals from Dundee based businesses, I’m also pleased to welcome key individuals from across Scotland, many with significant experience of also working in London and internationally.”
