Researcher development training
Developing your transferrable skills is strongly encouraged to both excel in your current research and future employability. We encourage our postgraduate researchers to take advantage of up to 80 hours of researcher development activities per year. Research integrity
Responsible and Ethical Practice in Research and Publication is an online course. It is designed to promote your awareness and engagement with research integrity issues.
The course covers

- plagiarism and recycling of text and research outputs
- authorship
- collaborative research
- data management
- peer review
- publication ethics
- general issues such as research misconduct and questionable research practice.
The course is designed to help you follow the principles of good practice at all stages of the research lifecycle. It will also help with what standards of professional behaviour you should expect from your colleagues and collaborators. This will help you to avoid the potential problems and pitfalls which can damage both reputations and careers.
