Develop the core leadership skills required to take on a range of leadership roles and to lead changes in practice. This course will support you, both personally and professionally, to develop your knowledge and understanding of leadership within the context of healthcare and nursing.

The course takes account of leadership theory and evidence from other fields and disciplines, and in applying this knowledge, you will be encouraged to reflect on and develop your own personal leadership skills and values. Change is an integral component of leadership, so developing your understanding of the drivers for change and how to lead and implement change are also core components of the course.

Designed to offer flexible learning, this course is relevant to students across local, national and international healthcare settings. It is delivered by a team who have all held leadership roles in practice settings and educational contexts.

To achieve the MSc you will complete four modules and a dissertation. You will be taught via online distance learning, however, some masterclasses and assessment support sessions will be delivered locally and will be available for you to attend. For those who cannot attend, the masterclasses will be recorded, and support sessions will be delivered by web conference.
