Biography

Tharin Phenwan is a medical doctor and qualitative researcher. He joined the School of Health Sciences as a lecturer in 2021.

Before joining the University of Dundee, he worked as a lecturer and assistant professor at Walailak University, School of Medicine, Thailand, where he helped establish a palliative care consultation service and contributed to capacity building for clinicians and health professional students.

He obtained his PhD from the University of Dundee. His doctoral research focused on improving understanding of the initiation and revision of Advance Care Planning (ACP) with and for people living with dementia, aiming to ensure opportunities for timely action and appropriate sharing with relevant stakeholders.
