Improvement and Implementation Research group
The IIMPRES group focuses on co-creating evidence for improving quality and safety in healthcare and implementing this evidence across different settings and contexts, working collaboratively with patients, staff, and wider stakeholders.
We recognise that patients, carers, the public, practitioners, managers, and policy makers hold the key to change, so participative approaches, engagement and co-creation are fundamental to our research. We work to embed equity in all that we do and focus on how we can contribute to reducing health inequalities.
We are multidisciplinary team bringing together clinical, social, behavioural and implementation scientists. We have expertise and experience in co-developing and testing complex interventions, health service delivery improvement programmes, implementation strategies and evaluation in clinical and non-clinical settings.
Our skills and knowledge apply to different populations, including marginalised groups, in various contexts. Our interests include, but are not limited to, adolescent health, women’s health, cancer prevention and screening, digital health, health literacy, public health and the application of implementation approaches in the context of global health.
