Suze Farrell

Suze graduated from this School with a degree in Biochemistry, but then went on to work in a training unit for laparoscopic surgery in the Medical School.  From there she moved onto training Foundation Doctors for the East of Scotland Deanery before moving to London to study Public Health. 

While studying for her MPH, she started working for Imperial College London.  She started in an MRC-NIHR unit which aimed to tackle the spread of antimicrobial resistance through understanding mechanisms of resistance, social behaviour, policy development, epidemiology and capacity building.  From there she worked in the undergraduate medical school for a while, before moving onto running the postgraduate education for the Department of Surgery and Cancer.  This involved coordinating around 400 PhD students and 9 master’s programmes across a wide range of disciplines from informatics, through cancer biology, to surgical innovation and art.  While at Imperial she also ran two academic divisions, one focused on Gastroenterology and Hepatology and the other on Computational and Systems Medicine.
