Biography
Professor Susan Lilico Kinnear is a former journalist (Thomson Reuters and Trinity Mirror), who held senior communications roles in both the public and private sectors before moving into academia. She has delivered contracts for the UK government, blue chip companies, charities, regional development agencies and international organisations.
A Chartered Manager, Chartered PR and CIPR Chair of Examiners, Professor Kinnear was also appointed a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, Chartered Institute of Public Relations and Chartered Institute of Marketing in recognition of her contribution to the profession through communications consultancy and education.
A specialist in international and digital marketing, Susan holds a PhD from the University of Manchester, UK, and publishes on both communications education and global communication practice.
Professor Kinnear is Chair of International Communication and a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She currently serves as Deputy Vice Principal in the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Business and is Head of University of Dundee School of Business.
