Susan Ball

I have over 7 years of experience in the Animation industry. I graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone in 2013 and moved to Canada to study Classical Animation at Vancouver Film School. The focus throughout my career has been Background/Layout Art.

I have been based in Dublin, Ireland for the past 6 years, and have been Credited as a Background Artist on various shows such as CBBC’s Danger Mouse, Disney XD’s Wander Over Yonder, Cbeebies' Pablo and various Hasbro shows such as Pony Life (as part of the My Little Pony Franchise).

I have been credited as a Background Production Supervisor for the past 4 years, as most recently I have the credit on Warner Brother’s fantastic show SuperHeroGirls Season 1 and 2.

With my experience in Background Art I have been able to dabble in Art Direction, Background Design, Rigging and Colour Supervision.

I have also been responsible for designing a show/storybook for Cartoon Forum. Upon that it has been successful enough to be pitched and put into production.

I love Animation and Background Art, so I am excited to pass on my knowledge and experience to budding animators and artists.
