Steven Blane

Steven is an elected member of the Graduates' Association Business Committee. He is currently the Vice-Convener and was appointed to that post in 2013. He was elected as a member of the Business Committee at the 2012 AGM.

Steven graduated with an honours degree in Scots Law in 2005 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2008. In between times, he was a Sabbatical Officer at Dundee University Students Association for two years and served as President of DUSA in 2006-07. When studying for his Diploma in Legal Practice, Steven and a fellow Diploma student represented the University and Scotland at the world finals of the Louis M Brown International Client Counselling Competition in Bangalore, India.

Steven is a solicitor in private practice with one of the country’s leading law firms. He specialises in litigation and regulatory matters and lives in Edinburgh. In his spare time, Steven enjoys most sports (more watching than playing) including football, rugby, golf and cricket but accepts that the chance of an international call up has long since passed him by!
