Biography

After studying English Law at Dundee University (2:1 (Hons) 1991) and qualifying as a lawyer in London, Sarah move into recruitment and now runs her own legal search consultancy. During her career she has worked in Scotland, London and New York. She has a depth of experience working within the legal sector from niche law firms to global players both in-house and in private practice. She also has considerable experience in the charity sector, having worked as a volunteer at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, The Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh, The Royal Academy of Arts in London, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and also The National Galleries of Scotland, where she spent six years on the Friends Committee and Special Advisory Council. She has been involved in major fundraising events for The Cystic Fibrosis Trust and Make-A-Wish and was a member of The Protocol Team at The Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. A member of both the BFI and BAFTA she is also a Board Member of The Centre for the Moving Image in Scotland, which encompasses the Filmhouse Cinemas in Edinburgh and Aberdeen as well as being on the Board of the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Sarah is also involved with Young Enterprise Scotland.
