Biography
Sanjay is Chair Professor of Human Resource Management at University of Dundee School of Business. Previously, he worked at Maynooth University, Ireland, Abu Dhabi University, UAE and Institute of Management Technology, India.
He has published in top journals including Journal of World Business, Journal of Business Research, Human Resource Management Review, The International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of International Management, European Management Review, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, Personality and Individual Differences, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Business Strategy and the Environment, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, and International Marketing Review.
He serves as Editor-in-Chief – Journal of Asia Business Studies. He also serves as Associate Editor – Applied Psychology: An International Review, Consulting Editor - Journal of International Management, and Reviewing Editor – Asia Pacific Journal of Management.
He has served as Program Chair of Professional Development Workshop (PDW) of Asia Academy of Management division in Academy of Management (AOM), 2019. He is representative at Large at Asia Academy of Management since 2017.

Sanjay’s research addresses the critical question of "how does firm leverage human talent to manage knowledge & innovation for sustainable performance”. His research makes a coherent contribution to advance & expand theory and practice to successfully attain the United Nations Sustainable Developmental Goals (UNSDGs) of “Good Health and Wellbeing” (UNSDG 3), "Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure" (UNSDG 9), "Responsible Production and Consumption" (UNSDG 12), and "Peace, justice and strong institutions" (UNSDG 16).
He has received several awards and recognitions, namely Top-cited 2% of scientists in Elsevier author databases of standardized citation indicators in year 2021 and 2022; Abu Dhabi University Distinguished Researcher Award 2020; Highly Commended Paper Literati Award 2020; Emerald Publishing, Abu Dhabi University Research Fellow Award 2018/2019; Outstanding Paper Literati Award 2017, Emerald Publishing; and Abu Dhabi University Best Teaching Award 2015.
He is regularly engaged in knowledge exchange through presenting research at top international conferences including the annual meetings of the Academy of Management (AOM) and the Academy of International Business (AIB).
Teaching
His teaching interest include International HRM, Human Resource Management, Management of Change & Innovation, Leadership, Cross Cultural Management, Organizational Development & Change, Compensation & Benefits, Quantitative Research Methods, and Qualitative Research Methods.
He has taught courses both face-to-face and online mode (Synchronous as well as Asynchronous E-Learning Platform) at bachelor, master, and doctoral level.
He has successfully supervised thirteen dissertations for the award of the doctoral degree.
