Dr Nigel McLean

I am the Translational Manager for Tay Health Tech, an EPSRC funded project between the School of Science and Engineering at University of Dundee and the School of Engineering and Physical Science in Heriot-Watt University.

My mission is to accelerate the development of medtech projects from inception towards a commercial ready medical device. I help bring ideas to life by bringing expertise in regulatory strategy, clinical evaluation strategy, developing route to market strategies, plus developing business cases for attracting investment and integration into the NHS and global healthcare organisations.

I have gathered the experience to fulfil this role with over 25 years working in business development, global programme management, and commercialisation roles in SME's plus global medical device, diagnostic, IVD, biotech, and major USA healthcare companies.
