Namrata is from India and studied MSc Finance in our School of Business, graduating in 2018.
About Namrata
I hail from New Delhi, India. I graduated from the University of Dundee in 2018 with MSc in Finance, having extensive experience in Financial services and the Banking sector. I love travelling (Highlands being the most memorable one), meeting new people, and often hosting pot-luck dinners with friends. I am a voracious reader and in my free time, you would find me either playing the piano or making some doodle art.
Reason for becoming an Alumni Ambassador
It would be unfair to say that I had it easy coming to the UK. Everyone has their share of struggles. Being an international student myself I understand how a prospective or current student would feel, with a lot of questions running through their heads - where to start; whom to contact; would this be the right choice; and what would be the future? And having someone who experienced it before to direct and guide is not only helpful to the mentee but would be a rewarding experience for me too. Having worked with the University as an International Student Ambassador and Mentor for the School of Business, I learned how to be proficient with these errands. Of course, I would also get a range of excellent opportunities to grow my network, thereby developing skills and competencies.
