Biography

Khulud Abdullah Al-Hussain is a healthcare professional with background in nursing and midwifery. In 2012, Khulud earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Shaqra University, and subsequently worked in the labour and delivery room for six years. In 2018, she completed her Master of Midwifery Science at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) In Riyadh.

After obtaining her master's degree, Khulud returned to the Maternity and Children Hospital in Buraidah as a Nurse Educator and program director of the midwifery diploma. She held the position of Staff midwife, Head Nurse in the labour room ward and the Hospital nursing director demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a dedication to patient care. Khulud accredited as an obstetric emergency speaker by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.

With a focus on emergency care, Khulud has obtained various certifications, including being a certified Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO), Basic Life Support in Obstetrics (BALSO) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) provider. She holds Basic life support certifications (BLS) from both the Saudi Heart Association and the American Heart Association (AHA). In addition, Khulud is an Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) provider, as well as a BLS instructor from (AHA) In 2018. she achieved STABLE provider, specializing in neonatal care. Khulud is accredited as a lecturer for diploma programs by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and also possesses emergency first aid from the UK.

Driven by a passion for women's health, Khulud embarked on her PhD in Midwifery at the University of Dundee, Scotland, the United Kingdom, in February 2021. Her research interests lie in perinatal emotional challenges and breastfeeding, where she aims to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and improve the well-being of women and children.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Khulud believes in the power of leadership and student representation. She recognizes that becoming a student representative provides an opportunity to develop leadership abilities, refine problem-solving skills, and support fellow students in having their voices heard. Khulud aims to make a positive contribution to the student community, foster connections between students and the university community.
