Biography
Jayne joined the School of Health Sciences as a Postdoctoral Researcher in 2024. She completed her PhD at the University of Dundee in 2016 and thereafter worked on various projects in the School of Medicine which have been directly responsible for changes in routine clinical practice such as the introduction of the Faecal Immunochemical Test for haemoglobin (FIT) into the Scottish Bowel Screening Programme and into the referral pathways for patients presenting to primary care with lower bowel symptoms.
Research
Jayne’s research covers both quantitative and qualitative methods and her interests include evaluation of healthcare interventions and the development of risk prediction models to enable more tailored approaches to identifying those most likely to have certain health conditions.
