Dr Ian Mair

Ian Mair is a graduate of Dundee University, completing a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology in 1995 and a PhD in Molecular Neurobiology in 1998. Since then Ian has pursued a number of functional specialisms across companies such as Tesco and Grosvenor, one of the largest private landowners in the UK. Ian is a qualified chartered management accountant and worked across many finance roles in Tesco, both in the UK and China, before moving to Grosvenor where he held roles including Chief Finance Officer and Chief Operating Officer across the Asia region, and latterly Group Services Director in which he oversaw the development of innovation, technology, HR, Health and Safety and Company Secretariat. Ian is now the founding partner of an innovation consultancy, leveraging his experience internationally to deliver innovation in the built environment as well as provide coaching and mentoring to executives. He also holds other non-executive roles on technology startups and international property businesses.
