Biography
Gary joined the University of Dundee in 2013 and over this time he has gained significant administrative experience. His previous roles include Payroll and Pension Administrative Assistant and Research Finance Office. Gary is currently the Administrative Lead for Research and Enterprise & Economic Transformation in the School of Science and Engineering.
Gary’s primary responsibility is to support academic staff with research and industrial engagement matters, including assisting with costings on Worktribe and answering questions related to the application process. Gary works closely with the Associate Dean for Research and the Associate Dean for Enterprise & Economic Transformation to generate growth and promote strategic developments in these areas, aligned to the wider School and University strategy. Gary has responsibility for event planning and supporting away days to promote funding and training opportunities to staff.
Gary plays an essential role in supporting key institutional activities such as the Annual Research and Knowledge Exchange Review, Researchfish, and the Research Excellence Framework (REF).
