Biography
I trained as a photographer, still a great love, and continue to paint when time permits.
I joined Duncan of Jordanstone in 1991 and have worked in Ceramics, Sculpture and General Foundation.
I was invited to become a Trade Union Officer and in that role was trained in Safety and Dispute Resolution. I am in addition a trained complaints investigator and Secretary for UNITE the Union at Dundee University, reporting to the Scottish Regional Association for Higher Education.
I became aware of the negative effect that stress can have on us in the workplace, and realised that personal relationships can contribute significantly to these conflicts.
I also believe that an informal resolution can result in an improved situation for all concerned at minimum cost.
I am currently employed as a Safety Adviser at DJCAD and am appointed as Safety Representative to the University.
I believe the University is a very positive environment and would like to ensure the experience of studying and working here is an enjoyable one for all concerned, and if I can contribute to that in any way I am very happy to do so.
