Biography

Gary Cunningham is an academic-based practising Architect. He lectures at the Architecture Department of the University of Dundee and the School of Urban Design, Wuhan University, China. He is co-director of UK and Ireland based architectural practice Cunningham Heavin Architects.

Gary is from the Republic of Ireland. He studied Architecture in the United Kingdom, graduating with a Master of Architecture from the University of Dundee and a postgraduate diploma in professional practice from the University of Westminster. After graduation, he pursued a career as a practitioner for practices in Oxford and London before establishing Cunningham Heavin Architects in 2017. He is a guest critic at ESALA, University of Edinburgh.
