Charles Maddison

Dr Charles Maddison has taught at the University of Portsmouth, University of Abertay-Dundee and latterly at the Robert Gordon University. He has also taught at the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and at Seminole State College, Florida. His current appointment is as an Honorary Lecturer at the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPLMP) at Dundee University.

Dr Maddison has a PhD in Economics from the European University Institute, Florence; an MSc (distinction) in Politics of the World Economy from the London School of Economics and a BA (hons.) in Economics from Kingston Polytechnic.

His academic interests include: energy economics; international monetary relations; and the political economy of the European Union and Euro-Zone.
