Biography

Cara graduated from Abertay University in 2015 with a degree in Biomedical Science and has worked in a variety of laboratory settings from industry to healthcare before joining the FingerPrints Proteomics Facility as a Technician in 2018. Since joining the facility Cara has gained experience in a number of processes relating to the sample preparation and mass spectrometry analysis of proteomics samples including, but not limited to, in-gel/in-solution digestion, S-Trap processing, protein and peptide quantification as well as data analysis using MaxQuant, Mascot and Spectronaut. She is also the main person responsible for providing the intact protein analysis service.
