Dr Belle Guo

Dr Belle Guo is a Lecturer (Teaching & Research) in Law at the University of Dundee. Her research specialises in corporate law, corporate governance, corporate disclosure, sustainable finance, and the legal implications of emerging technologies for corporate law. Her recent work examines the impact of digital assets on corporate law doctrines, the role of institutional investors in addressing climate change, and corporate transparency in an increasingly digitalised economy. She is particularly interested in the intersection of corporate governance, sustainability, and financial regulation.

Before joining Dundee Law School in 2023, Belle taught and conducted research at the University of New South Wales, Western Sydney University, the University of Sydney, and Northwest University of Politics and Law. She has presented her research at leading international conferences in the UK, Australia, and China and is the author of the monograph Continuous Disclosure of Chinese Cross-border Listed Companies in Australia: Challenges and Proposals (Springer Nature, 2023).

Belle holds a PhD in Corporate Law from the University of New South Wales, which was funded through the Australian Government's prestigious Endeavour Leadership Program. Her doctoral research examined the regulation of cross-border listed companies' information disclosure. She holds a Legal Professional Qualification Certificate in China (the official bar certificate issued by the Ministry of Justice of the People's Republic of China).
