Biography
Annie Ingram is a Chartered fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, with over 40 years experience in HR, and a 32+ year career within the NHS in Scotland. Although retired, Annie held many senior and Executive roles within the NHS, most recently as the Director of Workforce for NHS Grampian and NHS Orkney and the North Regional Lead for Workforce. Annie worked in the NHS most of her working life, starting in Greater London at Mount Vernon Hospital, before returning to Scotland, where she worked for NHS Lothian, NHS Tayside and NHS Grampian. A fellow of CIPD, Annie has worked as both an HR professional, at all levels including as a Board Director. She has managed clinical services, led healthcare planning at a regional level for the North of Scotland and was also the National Programme Director for Remote and Rural Healthcare in Scotland, developing and supporting the implementation of Scottish Government Policy to sustain remote and rural services. She was also seconded as the Deputy Chief Executive in NHS Tayside as part of a turnaround process before her retirement.
Annie has an interest in European employment law and its impact on the NHS, and graduated from The University of Dundee in 1999 with an LLM, by research, which looked at the impact of the Acquired Rights Directive and TUPE on commercial tendering in the NHS. Later, in 2003, she completed her PhD, also at Dundee, where she considered in the impact of Working Time legislation on the NHS.
Annie also has an interest in Governance and was previously the Vice Chair of Court in another University in Scotland.
Annie is also a Director of craft Brewery, Newbarns Brewery Ltd, in Edinburgh and a Director of Tealing Paddock Ltd.
