Andrea West

Andrea is the Education Administrator for the School of Science and Engineering’s Postgraduate Research Programmes. In this role, she manages a range of administrative duties, including organizing Thesis Monitoring Committee meetings, Transfer of Ordinance meetings, Viva examination panels, as well as processing extension and Intention to Submit requests. Andrea also provides vital support to both academic staff and PhD students throughout their research journey, collaborating closely with the registry. Immigration Compliance and Doctoral Academy to ensure smooth operations.

Andrea joined the University in 2020 as part of the School of Business before transitioning to the School of Science and Engineering in 2024. She holds a BSc in Design and Innovation, which she completed through the Open University while working full-time. Her ability to thrive under pressure and her strong problem-solving skills, developed throughout her studies, are key assets in providing exceptional support to PhD students.
