This module aligns closely with the Standards in Social Work Education (2019), where the aim is to nurture research-minded practitioners with skills in gathering evidence, assessing quality of evidence, critically analysing evidence, and using evidence to inform practice.
What you will learn
In this module you will be provided with the opportunity to engage in a focused piece of research and in doing so develop your skills of collection, evaluation, and dissemination of knowledge.
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- identify gaps in evidence
- generate research questions
- select, critically review, and synthesise relevant literature
- interpret and discuss findings
- provide critical insights relevant to practice/topic area
