Aims

• To advance students' theoretical and practical understandings of the role of place and space in the social and cultural construction of childhood(s).
• For students' to develop a critical appreciation of the ways in which children and young people use and experience different environments.
• To critically engage with the key theoretical perspectives used by geographers and others who study children and young people.
• To develop an understanding of the research process and evaluate methodological innovations in research with young people.
