Water Hazards and Risk module (GE31018)

Aims

The course aims to develop an understanding of the science of the Earth's water resources and the potential risks that they pose to society. It draws attention to key water hazards on Earth and how society addresses specific issues of hazard assessment and how to cope with risk. On completion of the course, the student will have a comprehensive knowledge of water hazards in a range of environments and at different time-scales and to interpret these with the contexts of modern societies.
