Engineering Design and Manufacture Work-based Learning III module (GA30009)
You will develop research and literature review skills for engineering design and manufacture, culminating in a workplace-relevant case study
Engineering Design and Manufacture Work-based Learning III is a 30-credit module at SCQF Level 9 that deepens your ability to engage with engineering research and apply it to your professional context.
You will conduct a systematic literature review on a topic of relevance to your workplace or industry, investigate the current state of the art in your chosen area, and produce recommendations for future engineering or manufacturing practice.
The module also considers sustainability and the interpretation and implementation of industry guidance. You will be allocated an academic supervisor who provides regular meetings and guidance, and support is also given through meetings between you, your academic adviser, and your workplace mentor. Assessment includes a research report, poster presentation, and reflective journal.
