Research and Evaluation Methods module (DS53007)

This module aims to explore methods used in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of research and service evaluation projects applied to healthcare 

Indicative topics: 

• Navigation of the research journey from the early planning stages through to dissemination of results. Exploration of markers of quality in research methods. Maintaining research integrity. 
• The identification of the various research ethics and service evaluation approval processes. An exploration of ethical issues associated with both. 
• The role of quality improvement, clinical audit and other healthcare service evaluation tools in service improvement.
